Yamkela batyi well known as S.W.A.V. a recording and performing 20-year-old female artist. Born and bred in one of Cape Town’s largest townships, Phillipi. started making music in 2019 and released her first debut single titled ‘BAFUN’UBA NDIM’ then focused mainly on Trap and ‘Xhosa Raps’. And I’m signed to the Restless movement that’s based in Cape Town.

“The main goal of my music is to connect with people from eKasi by spitting bars in vernacular, that way I reached a higher audience and secured a strong “support” base.
My future in music is to reach a much higher audience and get to work with artists that have already set foot in the game. My short goal for this year is to release an EP titled “Xhosa Stunts” that will consist of local artists (males and females ), with the hopes of it opening doors for me in the game.
